TCAF’s Brighter Aspirations have been lucky enough to have come second in the Tesco’s Tokens funding bid and have received money to create “Soul Art”. TCAF’s Brighter Aspirations will be working on setting up taster sessions and activities to support this project in March. The young people and workers, including the newly selected Youth Ambassadors attended Tesco’s in Trowbridge to collect for TCAF’s Brighter Aspiration youth provisions in Trowbridge. The young people want to help raise funds so they can go on a team building activity or residential in 2019. They are aware that this costs a lot of money and recognise that funding streams are not easy to obtain. They are really enjoyed themselves and to celebrate all their hard work and enjoy the festive season we journeys to Frankie and Benny’s in Trowbridge for a much deserved soft drink and pudding.
TCAF’s Brighter Aspirations are planning on Teaming up with Wiltshire Mighty Girls in the foreseeable future. The project is hoping to hold the sessions with the support of John of Gaunt School to help support young girls understanding of body image and help gain confidence in themselves and the way they look. This project is waiting on funding to secure this project, however has proved extremely successful in other areas of Wiltshire.
TCAF’s Brighter Aspirations have been lucky enough to have secured funding from the Local Youth Network to put together a project working with young people in understanding about sexual health, relationships and the consequences of acting to soon and before they are ready for the reality of their consequences. This project will give young people the chance to talk openly about this area of their lives in a safe and secure manner with qualified youth workers to support them. The project will be designed to implement games, activities that relate to relationships, communalisations, delay and the consequences of unprotected sex. It will help to educate young people around the myths around sexual health and give them the knowledge of what it is really like to have a baby with the use of their new stimulation baby from Real Works. If you would like further information or would like to get involved please contact email@example.com for further information involved please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.

We were delighted to hold our Christmas party on Monday 10th December at the Community HUB at BA14 in the Shires shopping centre. A number of trustees and volunteers enjoyed hot drinks and mince pies. The Mayor thanked three long standing volunteers from the Lions Club and Town Hall Arts and they were presented with a gift for their wonderful support. Anyone who is interested is welcome to come along and join us.
