Trowbridge Community Area Future is a small, independent charity based in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, offering support and advice to the local community.
From 1st November 2019 we will be rebranding to Trowbridge Future. This is a direct result from public and business consultation which has conducted over the last few months, identifying that a large number of people in the local community don’t have a complete knowledge of our purpose and activities.
Trowbridge Future are keen to engage with the local community to ensure that we are meeting their clearly defined needs. We already run a series of youth cafes across the communities of Trowbridge in Longfield, Seymour and Studley Green and host a thriving Community Hub in The Shires Shopping Centre providing advice and support to the residents of Trowbridge. The Hub also offers weekly computer lessons on a Wednesday, where everyone is welcome to drop in and learn how to use their devices including mobile phones and tablets. Everyone is welcome to drop into the Hub which is open from 9am until 2:30pm Monday to Friday.
We rely on a group of volunteers to keep the Hub open, and we are always seeking extra assistance along with comments on what we can do to improve our services. Meg Aubrey, Youth and Community Development Manager at Trowbridge Future said: “It is a really exciting time seeing our volunteers and staff engaging in the rebrand which has given our charity a new positive direction and opportunity to work with local young people and residents to help them develop their own projects and ideas”.
