Our Trowbridge Future Christmas gonk has been out and about in Trowbridge. Did you spot him? 

 

He’s been raising awareness of how we support our local community. Creating community support through our kindness cafe, feeding bellies not bins via our community fridge, and providing fun up-skilling activities for our young people to name just a few of the projects we deliver.

Did you know that gonks are inspired by the Scandinavian and Nordic folklore of gnomes and hobgoblins? These mythical creatures sheltered with families in cold weather and were said to bring good luck and protection to those who treated them well. Tricks and mischief awaited families who weren't so caring. Gonks are the perfect Christmas character for us, as we are all about creating warm, welcoming spaces for everyone in our community.
